A Brief History of hcwoodturn
Since leaving the Royal Navy 20+ years ago I’ve devoted my time to working as a woodturner, creating beautiful, practical hand-made wooden items for the home and for special occasions. I take pride in the fact that the wood I use is sourced locally in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Most pieces are labelled with the name of the wood that they are made from and a reference to note the year made. in many cases, I will know the actual tree that has been taken down and the full story behind it.

Handmade in beautiful wood
Some of my most popular wooden homeware items are chopping / bread boards, large fruit / salad bowls and tableware. You can also commission me to make and engrave a special item for your wedding, anniversary, birthday, baby’s christening or simply because, like me, you love wood!
Who buys my wood-turned products
My customers range from locals to holidaymakers along with local organisations and businesses who use my wares to promote their activities. I supply 'top end' London Restaurants as well as artisan bakers, shops, and catering companies.
